Sunderland Wick Up Their Bid

The red and white side of the Northeast look like they have just pinched in front of Liverpool and Arsenal to the signing of England’s hot prodigy Connor Wickham. Reports suggest Wickham has already turned down an offer to go to Wearside hoping to secure a move to his boyhood club Liverpool. Although it seemed that he had a clear path to go the Merseyside giants, it now appears that Sunderland have bid £13 million which Ipswich surely would except over the the reported £8 million which was offered by Liverpool. Connor may still decide to decline the offer although with all the hype and attention surrounding him, would he still be able to resist the lure of the Premier League?
