German international striker Lukas Podolski looks set to be on his way out of Germany and into the English Premier League this summer. The 6 foot hit-man is high on the list of many European sides, but two of England’s top sides look set to budge over his signature. Both Liverpool and Arsenal are watching his situation very closely as the striker’s contract expires next summer. A massive talent is Podolski for those who don’t know, he’s very much in the Robin Van Persie mold that would be in both playing style and injuries. He is without a doubt a world class player and would be a valuable asset to anyone lucky enough to get a hold of his services. It’s believed €15 million would be enough to prize the 26 year old away from Koln, which would be a steal by all means. Both Liverpool and Arsenal are in DESPERATE need of another striker as Andy Carroll has been extremely poor while there are doubts lingering that Luis Suarez will not be at the club come next season. And for Arsenal well, it’s simple, no Van Persie = no victories. There isn’t a striker on the planet as hot as RVP at the moment and for Arsenal to lose him would just about seal their fate. Again, there will also be some other sides (Dortmund, Napoli, Lazio, Roma, and Tottenham) who will be monitoring his situation quite closely, but we expect it to go down to the wire between Liverpool and Arsenal.
